***DAILY DO'S - FRIDAY 7 AM EDITION***
1. Make a difference by sharing your story. Planned Parenthood is looking for people to share their stories about why the organization and its works are important to them and what it would mean if they were no longer able to access care at Planned Parenthood. As we go into Legislative Session, these stories will be critically important when PP has to defend against attacks. Folks can submit this form to share their story! tinyurl.com/shareyourstoryppvnh. 2. There are a shortage of public defenders in North Dakota available to represent water protectors who were arrested at DAPL protests. Write to the North Dakota Supreme Court in support of a petition to permit temporary provision of legal services by qualified attorneys from outside of North Dakota. The deadline is today! Just email Penny Miller, Clerk of the Supreme Court (supclerkofcourt@ndcourts.gov). You can look at the letter sent by Amnesty International letter as an example: http://bit.ly/2hSWJA8 3. Yesterday white supremacist and misogynist Milo Yiannopoulos signed a $250,000 book deal with Simon & Schuster (http://slate.me/2hRQ5KP). Let the publisher know that book deals aren’t the way to approach hate speech. Email for Simon & Schuster editor Louise Burke: Louise.Burke@simonandschuster.com Email Simon & Schuster publicity: GalleryPublicity@simonandschuster.com Then let Slate know that alt-right is too soft a term for racists like Milo. corrections@slate.com #DailyDos #PantsuitAction
