**DAILY DO’S – FRIDAY 6PM EDITION***
It’s been a very crazy week and it shows no signs of letting up in the near future. Make sure you take a little time for yourselves so that you’re ready to hit the ground running next week when there are new fights to wage, including the one laid out in action item number one. (I'm posting this a little early so I can still make happy hour!) Have a great weekend! 1. In an effort to keep down the negative press on the next administration’scabinet appointments (http://wapo.st/2eJS7is), they’ve packed the confirmation schedule on days that will be filled with other news. We have a great group of local Pantsuiters who are already working on a blockade response. To get involved in the conversation pick up the thread here: http://bit.ly/2iLy3ge. In the thread you’ll find mention of this spreadsheet http://bit.ly/2i0a88V, which gives a detailed timeline, phone numbers for who to call, and other really important information. Your homework for the weekend is to get up to speed with the confirmation process and use the spreadsheet to decide how you’ll get involved next week. We’ll call out actions through the #DailyDos in the coming days. 2. Now for something a little more fun. Take a stand for immigrants and people of color by going to the movies this weekend. Hidden Figures, which opens this week, tells the exciting story of three African-American women who played a crucial role in the early days of NASA. http://bit.ly/2hZ6Yp7Looking for a double feature? Add on Star Wars Rouge One, which features Mexican actor Diego Luna in a leading role. Before you head to the movies, read up on how his heavy accent is inspiring Latino viewers http://wapo.st/2iigDos. 3. Finally, find a moment to say thank you. Thank your family members who support your actions. Write a thank you to the politicians and staffers who have worked so hard this week to stop the madness. Send a thank you to the people who continue to inspire you. #PantsuitAction #PantsuitLove
